Dental x-rays are now digital. 

X-rays are now digital which

 reduces time to develop

the film.  Generally an x-ray

 will be available for viewing

 in as little as 3 seconds. 

 Digital film also reduces

patient exposure.  Exposure

 is about 1/8 the amount of

radiation exposure in the

past which was minimal.  It

also reduces discomfort fo

r the patient.  Patients are

 not as apprehensive about

having x-rays because they

are smaller and more

comfortable.
